At Korai Station in Odisha early on Monday, a cargo train tragically derailed. At Korai Railway Station in the Jajpur district, a goods train derailed and rammed into the station building, resulting in three fatalities and numerous injuries.
Due to the incident involving the derailment of goods, both railroad tracks became blocked. According to reports, the station building was also harmed.
People could hear the sound of the accident from 200 metres away due to how loud it was. Rescue efforts have begun after police, RPF, firefighters, and railway officials arrived at the scene of the accident. To the hospital are being transported the injured. A high level investigation will be ordered, according to railway sources, to determine the accident’s cause.
Both the UP and Down Train lines in the route have been affected due to the accident.
