Bhubaneswar: The entire medical staff of Odisha including doctors, nurses and support staff shall be given special training to handle coronavirus treatment.

Two senior IAS officers namely: Anu Garg, The State women & child development and Mission Shakti principal secretary and Bhupendra Singh Poonia the State Project Director Rashtriya Madhyamik Sikhaya Yojana and Director Adarsh Vidyala Sangathan have been given the responsibility of coordinating the training.

All the 8th and 9th semester students of government medical colleges shall be included in the training program.

The Odisha government has decided to train both government and private doctors.

The training will help in preventing the spread of the pandemic among doctors and other medical staff said sources. It will also help them to be well equipped to handle the disease.
