In a testament to Odisha’s leadership in participatory governance, the state’s ambitious Viksit Odisha 2036 vision document has received over three lakh suggestions from citizens across the globe. Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Odisha for their invaluable contributions, reinforcing his commitment to a progressive and inclusive Odisha.

Public Participation: A Milestone in Governance

Launched with the objective of aligning Odisha’s growth trajectory with the national aspiration of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Viksit Odisha 2036 initiative has set a new benchmark in public participation. Chief Minister Majhi, while acknowledging the overwhelming response, said, “Thank you, Odisha, for coming forward with valued inputs for shaping Odisha’s future. This remarkable engagement solidifies our state’s position as a leader in participatory governance, and together, we are building a Viksit Odisha for a Viksit Bharat.”

Harnessing Technology for Visionary Governance

For the first time, Odisha has leveraged artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse and incorporate public suggestions. This innovative approach ensures that every voice is heard and the best ideas are integrated into the state’s roadmap. Inputs have been received from diverse stakeholders, including students, professionals, NGOs, and eminent personalities, spanning thematic areas like:

  • Climate-smart agriculture and enhanced irrigation
  • Market linkages for rural development
  • Industrial growth and green energy
  • Urban planning and digital transformation
  • Inclusive education and health services

This groundbreaking use of technology underscores CM Majhi’s vision for a modern Odisha driven by cutting-edge solutions and citizen-centric governance.

The Leaders Speak: A Shared Vision for Prosperity

Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida have lauded the initiative as a landmark step toward realising a prosperous Odisha. Both leaders emphasised the collective power of citizen-driven policymaking in achieving sustainable and inclusive growth.

Odisha Vision Citizen Engagement Platform

The dedicated portal vision.odisha.gov.in, launched by CM Majhi in October, has become a hub of ideas and innovation. Citizens from across India and abroad have contributed through emails, WhatsApp, and the website, ensuring the mission reflects the aspirations of all Odias.

The Road Ahead: Transformative Thematic Areas

The Viksit Odisha 2036 vision focuses on 17 thematic areas, ensuring a holistic approach to development. Key priorities include:

  • Doubling farmer incomes through innovative farming techniques
  • Promoting women empowerment and entrepreneurship
  • Enhancing connectivity and infrastructure for rural and urban areas
  • Leveraging renewable energy for industrial and economic growth

A Promise for the Future

CM Mohan Charan Majhi’s visionary leadership is steering Odisha into an era of unprecedented progress. With a commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and innovation, the Viksit Odisha 2036 initiative is a testament to the transformative power of collective effort. As Odisha moves ahead on its journey to align with Viksit Bharat 2047, it stands as a model state, demonstrating the success of participatory governance under a dynamic and people-centric leader.

Odisha’s future is bright, its goals are clear, and its leadership is unwavering. Together, we march towards a Viksit Odisha!
