The Lawyers across the state condemned the alleged police brutality in Kendrapara district on Saturday and the assault on a lawyer.
The All Odisha Lawyers’ Association has called for a cease work on 10 August. The lawyer of Kendrapara was allegedly beaten by the cops and made to do sit-ups on the road, alleged the advocates.
Some of the agitated lawyers today demanded immediate suspension of the Superintendent of Police of Kendrapara and criminal action against him.
It is learnt that a team of lawyers of the High Court Bar Association will conduct a fact finding inquiry on the incident. Lawyers across the state denounced the police atrocities in Kendrapara on Saturday.
