The state government is preparing to organise the 2022 Odisha Open, the first edition of a BWF international badminton event that will include over 300 players from 18 countries competing for first place.
The 2022 Odisha Open is a BWF Super 100 competition, and spectators will not be permitted at the tournaments, which will take place from January 25 to January 30 at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack.
COVID standards and norms established by the state government and the Badminton World Federation (BWF) will be rigorously followed at the competition, according to Odisha Sports Minister T K Behera.
