Odisha Investors’ Meet at Mumbai Showcasing the plethora of investment opportunities available in the State

Bhubaneswar , 11 Feb –  Odisha, led by Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik, Minister Industries, School and Mass Education Sri Debi Prasad Mishra and senior officials from the state is poised to showcase the plethora of investment opportunities available in the State. The State is set to organise Odisha Investor’s Meet on 14th February, 2016 as part of the Make in India Week being held in Mumbai. In the morning of February 14, the Chief Minister will hold one-to-one meetings with investors and foreign delegations from Japan, China and other countries. The main objective of the Investors’ Meet is to project the business ecosystem in the State and highlight the reforms undertaken by the State to enable Ease of Doing Business for domestic and international investors. During the Meet, the State will also be unveiling the Industrial Development Plan: Vision 20205. The State will also launch the investment related integrated services on the e-Biz portal and the Central Inspection Framework online portal, the first of its kind synchronized single inspection framework in India. The event will be followed by a panel discussion with the industry stalwarts from Odisha on the investment opportunities available in the state. The new IPR-2015 provides a variety of sops like concessional land, VAT reimbursement, electricity duty, exemption etc to attract mega investment in the state. In case of doing business ranking evaluated by World Bank complied by DIPP. Odisha has got 7th rank and we are doing 2nd phase of reforms and branded as one of the aspiring leaders by DIPP. Sri Amitabh Kant, Secretary, DIPP, Sri Bibek Debroy, Member of NITI Aayog, Sri Sunit Mazumdar, President, CII, Sri Rajesh Adani, Managing Director, Adani Enterprises, Sri Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group, Sri Shashi Ruia, Chairman, Essar Group, Sri G.B.S. Raju, Business chairman, GMR Group, Sri B. Ashok, Chairman, IOCL, Sri Y.C. Deveshwar, Chairman, ITC Limited and Sri T.V. Naarendran, MD of Tata Steel Ltd. are expected to grace the occasion in addition to other industry stalwarts and captains. The Industry Minister, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Industry and other Officials will attend the Meet.
