“Odisha is one of the fastest growing economies in India and has consistently expanded above the national average in the previous decade and a half,” Patnaik said in his remarks to the guests. Because of our advantage in natural resources and strategic position, we are quickly becoming a significant industrial destination in eastern India. My government has spent the previous 20 years emphasising the use of technology innovations, progressive policies, and effective administration to capitalise on these inherent advantages.
From November 30 to November 4, 2022, Bhubaneswar will host the Make in Odisha Conclave.
Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, the chief secretary of Odisha, explained how the state has been one of the key development breakout states in the nation, posting outstanding GSDP growth rates year after year and industrialising at breakneck speed.
“Odisha has been famous for trade and commerce. Today, Odisha is the largest producer of steel, stainless steel, and aluminium in India. We are emerging as a leader in sectors like chemicals and petrochemicals, textiles and apparel, IT and ITeS, food processing and others. We are also attracting investments in new age sectors like green hydrogen and green ammonia, data centers, EV and EV component manufacturing to name a few,” Mahapatra said.
Speaking of The Make in Odisha Conclave’22, Mahapatra emphasised that the flagship investment summit has been designed to not only showcase the many opportunities that already exist and that are currently developing in the state, but also to create a forum for world leaders to discuss the future of trade, commerce, skilling, and other topics.
