According to sources, Naba Das, the minister of health for the state of Odisha, was shot at by an unidentified thugs close to Brajarajnagar in the Jharsuguda district.
Minister Naba Das was travelling to Gandhi Chowk in Brajarajnagar to attend a programme when the tragedy happened.
The sources claim that Naba Das was shot after getting out of his car by a Police SDPO as per sources.
Near Gandhi Chhak of the town in the Jharsuguda district, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Brajarajnagar Gupteswar Bhoi Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Gopal Das opened fire on the Minister.
Minister Naba Das was the target of a revolver shot by Assistant Sub-Inspector Gopal Das, according to Bhoi.
According to him, the ASI, who is stationed at the Gandhi Chhak police outpost, started shooting as the Minister was walking to a programme. The precise cause has not yet been determined. It was claimed that two rounds were discharged.
According to Bhoi, the specific cause for the ASI’s action is still unclear, and he has been detained. Currently, questions are being asked of the ASI.
