In a significant administrative move, the Odisha government has undertaken a major reshuffle in the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) cadre, resulting in the transfer and appointment of 24 senior officials across various positions. This reshuffle has seen several districts, including Cuttack, Balasore, and Bhadrak, receiving new collectors-cum-district magistrates, reflecting the state’s ongoing commitment to effective governance and administrative efficiency.
Here are the key changes:
- Dilip Routrai, an IAS officer from the 2011 batch who was previously appointed as the Director of the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department, has been posted as the Collector of Bhadrak district.
- Bijay Kumar Das, formerly the Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation, will now serve as the Collector of Gajapati district.
- Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, previously the Collector of Gajapati, has been transferred to the position of Collector for Kendrapada.
- Parul Patawari, an IAS officer of the 2015 batch and currently the State Project Director in the Odisha School Education and Programme Authority, has been appointed as the Collector of Rayagada.
- Amrit Ruturaj, the Collector of Dhenkanal, will now take on the role of Collector for Kandhamal.
- Siddeswhwar Baliram Bondar, the Collector of Bhadrak, has been posted as the Collector in Sambalpur district.
- Sattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, an IAS officer of the 2016 batch and Collector of Mayurbhanj, has been transferred to serve as the Collector of Cuttack district.
- Hema Kanta Say, the Collector of Nuapada, will now oversee Mayurbhanj district as its new Collector.
- P Anvesha Reddy, the Collector in Kalahandi, has been appointed as the Collector of Jajpur district.
- Ashish Ishwar Patil, currently the Collector of Kandhamal, will now serve as the Collector of Malkangiri.
- Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, the Collector of Deogarh, has been moved to the role of Collector in Dhenkanal.
- Subhankar Mohapatra, Director in the Rural Development Department, has been appointed as the Collector in Nabarangpur.
- Suryawanshi Mayur Bikas, the Collector of Kendrapada, has been transferred to Balasore as its new Collector.
- J Sonal, the Collector of Boudh, will now serve as the Collector of Jagatsinghpur.
- Pawar Sachin Prakash, the Collector of Malkangiri, has been appointed as the Collector in Kalahandi.
- Akshay Sunil Agrawal, the Collector of Sambalpur, has been posted as the Collector in Nayagarh.
- Manoj Satyawan Mahajan, an IAS officer from the 2019 batch and Collector of Rayagada, will now oversee Sundergarh district as its Collector.
- Kabindra Kumar Sahu, Executive Director in Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd, has been appointed as the Collector of Deogarh.
- Madhusudan Dash, Special Secretary in the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department, has been transferred to the role of Collector in Nuapada.
- Subrat Kumar Panda, Special Secretary in the Rural Development Department, will now serve as the Collector of Boudh.
- Ashish Thakare, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch who was appointed as the Collector of Balasore district, has been posted as the Secretary of the Board of Revenue.
- Kamal Lochan Mishra, newly appointed as the Collector of Nabarangpur, has been posted as the Executive Director in the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority.
- Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, an IAS officer of the 2012 batch and Collector of Jajpur, will now serve as the Director of Soil Conservation and Watershed Development.
- Swadha Dev Singh, Collector of Nayagarh, has been appointed as the Additional Secretary in the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department.
