The Thirsty Crow , a seven-minute short film made by Odisha-based film-maker Snehasis Das on the importance of water conservation, has been selected for screening at FICA-2015, an international environment film festival, in Brazil.
The Thirsty Crow is one among 21 films shortlisted from 327 international films. The festival would take place in the town of Goiás, in Brazil from August 11 to 16.
According to Mr. Das, the short film is a metaphor story that depicts the struggle of both the human and the crow to find water which is becoming scarce.
“The age-old crow-water story still holds significance for human civilisation. The crow sends out a message of conserving each drop of water,” he said.
