The Odisha government on Friday issued a fresh warning to citizens to adopt Covid-19 proper behaviour, like wearing masks during Christmas and New Year’s. This comes in response to the increased number of coronavirus illnesses in other nations, including China.
Following a high-level meeting on the current Covid-19 situation, the advisory was released. The state administration advised individuals to stay away from crowded areas, use masks, maintain their social distance, and get tested if they saw any symptoms. ICMR’s Regional Medical Research Center (RMRC), ILS (Institute of Life Science), Health and Family Welfare secretary Shalini Pandit presided over the meeting and stated that the situation in Odisha has “remained stable” with fewer than 15 cases per day since November.
Even while there has been an increase in instances in the last two weeks in nations including China, France, Brazil, Germany, Japan, the US, and the Republic of Korea, the official stated that on most days, the number is still under 10. According to her, the state has 54 active cases, but no one is being hospitalised.
