Odisha Chief Minister Shri.Naveen Patnaik welcomed Union Food & Civil Supplies Minister Shri.Ram Vilas Paswan at Naveen Nivas in Bhubaneswar and listed a series of demand for his consideration.
The CM requested Paswan to increase Odisha’s share of rice under PDS instead of wheat, as people in the state are used to rice more. Paswan agreed to consider that demand.
Naveen also requested Paswan to provide rice to the SC/ST Hostels in the state at discounted rate. Earlier, Paswan told the reporters that the centre bears Rs 27 while the state government pays just Rs 2 under the Re 1 rice scheme.
