According to the India Today Mood of the Nation (MOTN) poll, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is the most popular Chief Minister in the state.
The poll, which aired on India Today on Thursday evening, ranked Naveen Patnaik as the most popular Chief Minister in his native state, with 78 percent of respondents satisfied with his performance.
His Assam counterpart, Himant Biswa Sarma, came in second with 63 percent, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin came in third with 61 percent.
According to Raj Chengappa, Group Editorial Director, India Today Group, Naveen Patnaik’s popularity stems from his good governance.
“He works quietly and does not yell excessively.” There are no corruption charges or taints against him in any of the years he has reigned. Look at how he conducts business over there; he exudes confidence. “The people trust him,” he said.
In terms of national popularity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to be the country’s most popular leader, with 53% of people selecting him to be their Prime Minister.
Only 9% support Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, while 7% support AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal.
