Odisha CM Celebrates Children’s Day With Kids

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik celebrated the Children’s Day with school kids at the State Secretariat here today.

Despite his busy schedule due to the Make In Odisha Conclave and preparation for the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup, Patnaik found some time to be with the students of the Wisdom Tree Global School, situated in Ghatikia Kalinga Vihar, here on the occasion of the Children’s Day.

The Chief Minister greeted the kids, distributed chocolates and took photographs with them.

The school kids also gifted a ‘Sparrow Box’ to the CM to apprise him about the endangered species of Sparrow birds.The Children’s Day or Bal Diwas is celebrated across India on November 14, the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly called Chacha Nehru. He is often cited as saying that children should always be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.
