Bhubaneswar, 19 Jan. 2019: A boy from Odisha, Sambit Behera, cracked the JEE (Main) examination 2019, securing a place in top 10 with 100% score.
He was ranked 5th in the entrance test. The results of Paper-I (B.E./B.Tech) were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today.
While Behera is among the successful candidates with cent percent marks in India, another boy from the State, Sibasis Nayak, emerged as the topper in Odisha.
Nayak secured 99.98% in the JEE (Main) examination.
For the first time, the NTA had conducted the between Jan 8 and 12, 2019 in two shifts per day across 258 cities in the country and abroad.
A total number of 9,29,198 candidates were registered for Paper –I (B.E. /B. Tech.). Total 8,74,469 candidates had appeared in the entrance test. The examination was held at 467 centres. The Paper-I was conducted in 8 shifts from Jan 9 to 12.
