However, the accused has denied the allegations of his involvement Simran’s death and said he does not even know whether she committed suicide or has been killed by somebody.
Ranju said they had married to each other without the consent of their families last year. However, Simran was staying separatey following some disturbances.
“She had made suicide attempts earlier also. I have consoled her many times over phone. She had approached me to bring her to my house. But I had refused her since there were already many disturbances. Besides, Simran used to go to hotels with her co-workers which I did not like,” said the accused.
He further said, “The murder allegation against me is completely false. I am here with my family and we had stopped talking to each other for the last couple of days.”
Earlier in the day, Simran’s last call record to Ranju went viral on social media. In the voice message, Simran claimed that she was mentally depressed and was going away from everyone.
