Former Jharkhand Governor and former Odisha Minister Murmu is the NDA’s choice to run against former Union Minister and joint opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha in the July presidential elections.
On Wednesday morning (June 22), Droupadi Murmu, the presidential candidate for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), prayed at the Rairangpur Jagannath Temple in Mayurbhanj, Odisha.
She also prayed at a Shiva temple in Rairangpur, Mayurbhanj, and then swept the floor of the building. Murmu also paid a visit to the “Jahira” location of tribal worship today.
A tribal woman politician named Droupadi Murmu was chosen to represent the BJP in the NDA.
She is the united opposition candidate for the July presidential elections and the NDA’s choice to run against Yashwant Sinha, a former Union Minister and former governor of Jharkhand.
According to sources on Tuesday, she would probably submit her nomination on June 25. (June 21).
Murmu stated that she was shocked to hear about her candidacy and couldn’t believe it. She added that she will act in accordance with the constitutionally guaranteed powers of the President.
