Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, gave his approval on Monday to the master plan for the construction of three “Shakti Peeth” in the state.
The state government claims that the ancient Shakti Peeths, including the Maa Ugratara Temple in Bhusandapur, which was built in 1352 AD, the Maa Bhabhati Temple in Banapur, which dates to the ninth century, and the Maa Mangala Temple in Kakatpur, which dates to the fifteenth century, will be developed under the 5T initiative of the Odisha government.
The temples’ transformation will be done by the Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC).
According to the master design, these shrines will be equipped with a variety of amenities to help the followers. To draw visitors, work will be done on the neighbouring areas as well as the temples’ maintenance and construction.
According to the official statement, all transformation work would be finished within a year.
These historic temples rank among Odisha’s most renowned places of worship. Every day, thousands of worshippers from Odisha and other regions of the country visit the temples.
