Bhubaneswar,11Jan.2019: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the free LED Bulb Distribution Scheme of Energy Department “Ama Ghare LED “at the Secretariat through Video Conferencing.
The scheme aims at providing energy-efficient bulbs to poor beneficiaries at free of cost. Under the scheme, all beneficiaries of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and Odisha food security scheme will get four 9 watts LED bulbs free of cost.
Around 95 lakh families will be benefitted from the scheme. The bulbs will be distributed to the beneficiaries during PEETHA programme on January 15.
OFTCL will be the nodal organisation for implementing this scheme. The LED bulbs will be distributed at PDS outlets as well as in PEETHA camp.
If beneficiaries fail to avail the LED bulbs from PEETHA programme, they may also collect the bulbs by giving their biometric authentication at PDS outlets.
