According to a PTI report, Naba Das, Odisha’s second-richest minister, owned 80 vehicles and properties worth 34 crore.
Naba Kishore Das, an Odisha minister, died on Sunday evening after being shot by Gopal Das, an assistant sub-inspector. Gopal had no known animosity toward the health minister but was suffering from a mental disorder, according to his wife. Gopal is being interrogated by police, and the motive for the attack has yet to be determined. The incident occurred around 12.30pm, while the minister was on his way to an event. After injuring his heart and left lung, the bullet that was fired at him entered and exited his body. Naba Das can be seen collapsing at the gate of his car in a video taken immediately after the attack.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered condolences to his family and expressed sadness over his sudden death.
