The body was found stuffed in a dustbin installed alongside a busy road in a lane in Nuapatna area of Manglabag police limits in the city. While the identity of the deceased was not ascertained yet, police suspect that the man was killed and his body was stuffed in the dustbin.
According to sources, some locals spotted the body in the dustbin at around 12 pm today and contacted the police. The police rushed to the spot and seized the body and sent it to SCB Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
On the basis of the circumstantial evidence, the police launched a probe into the matter. The age of the deceased was around 40 years, the police said, adding, he was wearing a blue colour full shirt and denim jeans.
The deceased was foaming at the mouth and blood was oozing from his eyes. A tester was found from his shirt pocket. One of his legs got fractured while the body was pulled out of the dustbin, the police added.
