Baliguda,Dec.18 : A person was allegedly shot dead by his relative over land dispute at Kamarigaon village under Baliguda block of Odisha’s Kandhamal district today.
A dispute was prevailing between Ramachandra Padhani (43), the deceased, and his relative Govinda Dandasena, the accused, over a patch of land.
While Ramachandra had gone near the land with his brother Nidhi Padhani, Govinda opened fire at them with a country-made gun. Ramachandra sustained bullet injuries on his back and died on the spot.
On the other hand, Nidhi was injured in the attack and admitted to the Baliguda hospital. Police have started investigation into the incident.
