Puri,December 04: In order to determine the price and fix rate chart, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) prepared ‘Mahaprasad’ (Abadha) on an experimental basis at Srimandir today.
The SJTA’s attempted to study the expenditure borne on raw materials and labour for the preparation of Abadha before finalising the rate chart.
Talking to media persons after a meeting with the Suar Mahasuar Nijog and district Collector Jyoti Prakash Dash, SJTA chief administrator Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said that the rate chart will be put up at the Ananda Bazar after taking into consideration the average costing for Abadha preparation.
Talking about regulations in Ananda Bazar, Mohapatra said, “It is a plan and not related to anything else. It is a part of administrative reforms in the Srimandir.”
“A shed in the Ananda Bazar is being constructed and unauthorised persons will be removed from the place to ensure proper regulation in Abadha sale,” he said, adding that the quality of rice and ghee used for prasad preparation will also be given importance to check the hygiene.
Prior to that, a member of the Suar Mahasuar Nijog informed media persons that the rate-chart will be finalised after a thorough examination by the officials. In the meeting, it has been decided that the rates will change according to fluctuations in prices of raw material in the market
