A factory employee has been booked for allegedly raping a woman of the same factory in Ludhiana, after offering her lemonade laced with sedatives.
The accused was identified as Lovedeep Singh Mundar of Subana village of Jalandhar.
The woman said the accused also clicked objectionable pictures of her when she was unconscious and later started blackmailing her with those.
She alleged that the accused raped her multiple times after the incident and when she objected, he threatened to post her pictures on social networking sites.
The woman also alleged that brother of the accused also raped her. The police have, so far, not booked his brother.
The woman said that the incident took place when her employer had gone abroad with his family on July 19, leaving his house to her care.
She said that after dropping off the owner and his family at the airport, the accused came to the owner’s house.
He then offered her some lemonade which had some sedatives in it.
The woman said she fell unconscious after drinking it and taking advantage of her condition, the accused raped her and clicked lewd pictures.
The victim narrated the entire incident to her employer after he returned home from abroad and also lodged a complaint against the accused.
Inspector Harjinder Singh,SHO at Koomkalan police station said that a case under Sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 67 and 67-A of the Information Technology Act has been registered against the accused.
The police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
