Nestle, the manufacturer of KitKat chocolate, has been sued for putting Lord Jagannath on the wrapper.
The Hindu Samaj has filed a complaint with Cuttack’s Cantonment Police Station, expressing their unhappiness.
They claim that depicting Lord Jagannath on the wrapper is in violation of religious beliefs and sensitivities.
After eating, the wrappers are tossed aside, and they may be stepped on and trampled on accidentally.
The Hindu Samaj went on to say that this will damage the religious emotions of millions of Hindus in their complaint.
They have urged that the image of Lord Jagannath be removed from the popular chocolate brand’s wrapper immediately and that the appropriate authorities take action against the chocolate manufacturer.
It’s worth noting that the Lord’s depiction on the wrapper has been met with scepticism and criticism on social media.
