Bhubaneswar,Dec.23 : Police on Sunday nabbed a looter from the city for his alleged involvement in various burglaries in Bhubaneswar.
The accused has been identified as Dipu Chhatri of Bhubaneswar.
As per the complaint lodged on December 2, the accused along with his associated broke into Paresh’s house and looted the place of cash and valuables after November 25, while Paresh’s family was on a vacation. The matter came into light after Paresh returned home on December 2 along with his family.
Acting on the complaint lodged by one Paresh Kumar Pattnaik of Old station bazar police launched a man-hunt and nabbed the accused person.
Cops also seized 45 gram of gold ornaments, a cash amount of Rs 40,000, a two-wheeler vehicle and imitation ornament weighing 100 grams.
While the Dipu is in police custody, a man-hunt to nab his associate is on, sources said.
