Bhanjanagar: A truck and liquor worth 70 lakh has been seized from Ganjam district of Odisha. The truck driver has also been arrested. According to sources, the truck was on its way to Berhampur from Khurda before the lockdown.
But, due to the announcement of the lockdown, the truck could not off load its load of liquor. The truck was then taken to Jagannath Prasad Police Station and was kept for a few days near Bidipur village.
The truck was then shifted to Kebiri village. On being alerted by a few locals, the deputy collector of Bhanjanagar and police raided the spot. They seized the truck and have kept it in the Bhanjanagar police station, informed the Bhanjanagar SDPO, Sudhashu Shekhar Mishra.
