Koraput: The boy, who was trapped under debris after an abandoned building in Koraput district collapsed yesterday, was rescued late last night but passed away today while undergoing treatment.
According to sources. the mishap took place last evening and the boy was rescued after hours of ordeal.
While the boy was found in a critical condition and was immediately rushed to the hospital, he died today while undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
Notably, four members of the family were present near an abandoned building at Bariniput village under Sadar police limits in Koraput when the establishment collapsed.
While three of them were safely rescued, Odisha Fire Services, ODRAF, and Koraput police managed to rescue the boy late last night.
the three other rescued persons are currently undergoing treatment at the DHH.
