From Kesinga to the capital of Odisha, the path of honeytrap kingpin Archana Nag is nothing short of a Bollywood potboiler with lots of sleaze and mystery. She and her husband Jagabandhu Chand built the three-story home in Satya Vihar together over the course of about four years, and it has lavish interiors, four pets, and a horse.

Police sources claim that the 26-year-old left her native Kalahandi district after completing her high school and college studies to pursue integrated law in Bhubaneswar. It happened in 2015. Archana had a taste for the good life and allegedly followed the “illegal” and “immoral” road to make a quick profit and live a flashy lifestyle, though authorities are unsure if she finished the course.

She started off working for a private security company before allegedly running a prostitution ring out of the city’s Baramunda neighbourhood as a beauty salon. Soon after meeting, Archana and Jagabandhu decided to turn to sextortion in order to make quick money. In the Balasore region, he formerly owned a food store. After getting married in 2018, the couple began seducing wealthy and well-known people. By introducing himself as a renowned member of a certain party, Jagabandhu began establishing relationships with politicians, merchants, and industrialists. He and Archana would take pictures of them and then use spy cameras to record intimate films of them in order to trick them into falling into their trap and demand money.

She also successfully used WhatsApp video chat.

At least two ministers, including one from western Odisha, a top BJP official from that region, as well as a former member of the legislature, a seasoned BJD leader, and a few bureaucrats are said to have been the victims of the racket.

Before relocating to their opulent home in Satya Vihar last year, the couple lived on a rental basis in several different locations.

Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh explained Archana’s method of operation to the media, saying that she would connect with powerful people on social media, take intimate pictures of them, and then blackmail them for money. She engaged a girl in the sextortion case involving Odia film producer Akshay Parija, and the police detained Archana on October 6 as a result of the girl’s allegation.

Invoking herself as a lawyer, Archana allegedly demanded Rs 3 crore from the director and threatened to go viral if he didn’t pay up by releasing his purported intimate footage with the girl. Parija made a complaint to the Nayapalli police instead of agreeing to pay the money.

She apparently used the same method and the same girl, who was allegedly forced to carry out Archana’s intentions, to make thousands of rupees from a Nayagarh local. We will take action if further blackmail victims file complaints against her, Singh added, noting that they have received and are now reviewing Archana’s financial accounts from a few institutions.

“While all of the woman blackmailer’s assets are being evaluated, an inquiry is also ongoing to gather specific information on the firms operating under her name,” the official said.

The directors of Additya Prestige Agro private limited are Jagabandhu Nag and his wife Archana, according to information posted on Jagabandhu Nag’s Facebook profile. The company, which engages in the wholesale of a range of items, was established in January 2021 and is listed with the Cuttack Registrar of Companies.

In addition to serving as managing director and director of Golden Empress Pvt Ltd, which was established in June of this year and is registered with the Registrar of Companies in Cuttack, respectively, Jagabandhu and Archana are also involved in the company. It deals with the supply of short-term lodging, including campgrounds.

Even after lady blackmailer Archana Nag was detained for reportedly demanding money from numerous well-known figures, terrible information keeps coming to light every single day.

According to the most recent information in the investigation, Nag honeytrapped more than 25 powerful people, including 18 MLAs. In advance of the vital byelection for the Dhamnagar constituency, the issue has now heightened the political climate in the State.

On social media, images of Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand posing with numerous politicians and powerful people have gone viral. While some politicians acknowledged knowing Nag, others denied any connection. The police, though, are reportedly not aggressively looking into such angles.
