A young man is accused of burning an Aminor girl alive on Sunday in the Balasore district’s Baringia hamlet, which is inside the Khaira police jurisdiction. Dayanidhi Jena has been named as the suspect.
It is still unknown why the accused specifically put the minor girl, who was enrolled in standard 8, on fire. According to the initial allegations, the accused allegedly dragged the young girl when she was going to buy a pencil.
Some locals hurried to the scene after hearing the screams and arrested the suspect. The location yielded some hair and lighters.
“I heard some noise, and when I got there, I saw the female lying there. Kerosene odour permeated the entire area. The adolescent was arrested by the villagers, who then phoned the police, according to villager Bidyadhar Giri.
According to reports, the accused Dayanidhi, who is married, allegedly doused the young girl in kerosene before lighting her on fire. According to sources, the deceased girl used to go to the accused’s home to get help with her homework from his wife. However, as a result of a disagreement with the accused and his wife, the little girl’s parents stopped paying her tuition.
“My daughter was studying at home and begged me for money to purchase a pencil,” the mother of the deceased girl claimed. Later, the suspect caught up with her and burned her to death.
The accused’s wife, Tilotma Jena, stated, “The girl hadn’t visited our home in a month. Why my husband killed her, I don’t know. I want him to receive outstanding treatment. At the time of the occurrence, I was providing instruction.
Police officers arrived at the scene and launched an inquiry into the occurrence before the last complaint was received.
