According to the September forecast, low pressure systems may deliver significant rainfall to Odisha each week during the month, and so far, that has been the case.

The weather service will provide more information on the cyclonic circulation’s intensity and potential area of formation in the following days, according to the IMD director.

The well-marked low pressure region over the West Central and adjacent Northwest Bay of Bengal is anticipated to intensify into a depression by September 11 morning, according to Mohapatra, who was commenting on the current weather conditions in Odisha.

Between north Andhra and south Odisha, the system is predicted to make landfall on the coast. According to the IMD DG, on September 10 and 11, Odisha is predicted to have heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, with one or two locations perhaps seeing rain as high as 20 cm.

From September 12, when a few locations in interior Odisha and districts bordering Chhattisgarh may experience rainfall, the rainfall activities will decrease, according to Mohapatra.
