Malkangiri : While the Chitrokonda Police staff were performing MV checking and blocking duty at Mantriput on SH-47, detected IMFL of 171.150 ltrs in quantity from the possession of three accused persons. The accused were identified as Linga Majhi of Balimela under Malkangiri District, Rakesh Singh of Amas under Gaya District of Bihar and Dilip Prasad from Garhwa in Jharkand.
The accused were transporting the said liquor in an Auto while being escorted by bike. The approximate cost of the seized liquor would be Rs. 1 lakh. The accused persons and the seized article were produced before the Hon’ble court. Further investigation is under process and involvement of other accused persons behind the crime is under verification.
The said operation was headed by the SDPO Chitrokonda Manas Ranjan Barik and executed by IIC Chitrokonda.
