Bhubaneswar,Dec.12 : The quarter-finals for the on-going Men’s Hockey World Cup will be played at Kalinga stadium here from today.
Hosts India, two-time defending champions Australia, Argentina and Germany have made a direct entry after topping their Pools in the group stage, while England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands have qualified after winning their respective cross-over matches.
Today, Olympic champions Argentina will lock horn with England at 4. 45 PM, while dark horses France will face mighty Australia at 7 PM
India will face the Netherlands tomorrow, while Germany will meet Belgium.
Manpreet Singh led India is the only team from Asia as the top eight teams in the knockout stage of the mega event.
