Odisha is set to welcome its new Governor, Hari Babu Kambhampati, who will be officially sworn in on January 3, 2025. The oath-taking ceremony will take place at the Abhishek Hall of Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, with the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court administering the oath of office.
Hari Babu Kambhampati succeeds Raghubar Das, who recently stepped down as the Governor of Odisha. Before his appointment as Odisha’s Governor, Kambhampati served as the Governor of Mizoram, a position he held from July 2021 to December 2024.
Born on June 15, 1953, in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh, Kambhampati brings a wealth of knowledge and administrative experience to his new role. With an impressive academic record, he holds a B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. from Andhra University, underscoring his strong foundation in education and public service.
As Odisha’s new constitutional head, Kambhampati is expected to bring his unique perspective and administrative acumen to the state. The Raj Bhawan will host dignitaries, government officials, and leaders from various sectors for this significant event.
