Nitin Gadkari, a minister in the Union, expressed confidence that after five years, the country would no longer require the usage of gasoline in vehicles.
On Thursday, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth awarded him an honorary doctorate of science in Akola, Maharashtra, where he delivered the announcement.
The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways made a compelling case for using green fuels like ethane and hydrogen during his speech.
“I firmly believe that gasoline will no longer be available in the nation in five years. Your vehicles will run on either green hydrogen, ethonal flex fuel, compressed natural gas, or LNG, he stated.
Gadkari also urged agricultural researchers and specialists to work on raising the sector’s growth from 12% to 20% over the following five years.
He emphasised the importance of guiding and educating Maharashtrian farmers with new research and technology, noting their great talent.
