The state administration has made the decision to implement a special programme for sectors of the economy that experienced losses as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak. This was disclosed by 5T Secretary VK Pandian during a meeting with representatives of about 50 small and medium-sized businesses while on a visit to the food park, the Institute for Industrial Development, Khurda, and the Khurda Industrial Estate.
Improvements in the delivery of water and energy to companies, issues with truck parking, the building of worker hostels, traffic and waste management, and security-related issues were all covered during the discussion. Each industrial park will have dormitories that can house 2,000–3,000 workers, it has been agreed.
Pandian spoke with engineers and management grads who had lost their employment because to the epidemic while he was at the Jaymangala Industrial Estate. He promised them all government support in their endeavours to establish industrial units. Additionally, Pandian had numerous discussions on various issues with locals and district officials.
