Panaji,31 Jan.2019: The Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will be shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS),Delhi on Thursday evening.
A senior official in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) told news agencies:”The Chief Minister will be flying to Delhi in the evening for a regular check-up at AIIMS. He is expected to be admitted there for the next four days.”
Parrikar will leave for Delhi after the conclusion of the Goa Assembly’s Budget Session this evening.
According to reports the former defence minister is suffering from advanced pancreatic cancer which was diagnosed in February 2018.
The Goa chief minister has been recuperating at his private residence in Dona Paula since October 14, 2018, after being discharged from the AIIMS.
Parrikar on Wednesday presented the state budget for 2019-20 and delivered a brief speech from his chair with a tube inserted through his nose.
