In a stroke of luck, a fisherman in Bhadrak who caught a 32 kg Ghol fish on Saturday sold it to a Kolkata-based company for a whopping Rs 3.10 lakh.
According to sources, Hapish Olla snagged the uncommon marine species on Friday while fishing near the Dharma sea mouth to support himself. The daily fish supplier then told the Kolkata-based company about the discovery before he sold his catch to Chandninipala Fish Auction Center in Chandbali.
The company decided to buy the fish at Rs 3.1 lakh after obtaining videos and images of it.
