Bhubaneswar,May 01, 2019: With the very severe cyclonic storm ‘Fani’ inching closer to Odisha with every passing moment, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has laid emphasis on ensuring ‘zero casualty’ and ordered for the start of evacuation drive along with free kitchen from tomorrow.CM, who headed a high-level meeting at Odisha Secretariate this evening informed, around 8 lakh people will be evacuated from areas vulnerable to ‘Fani’ impact by tomorrow evening. Collectors of the concerned district where these areas are located have been conveyed in this regard, he added.
Sticking to his government’s ‘no casualty’ policy Naveen maintained that, every life is precious and everyone will work to see it happen.
During the meeting where Chief Secretary AP Padhi was present, the CM ordered the State Administration to ensure 100 percent evacuation from the areas feared to be affected badly by Fani.
