At Propack Odisha 2022, an event hosted by the Odisha Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprises (OASME) in Bhubaneswar, a major industrial attraction is an exhibit on the environmentally friendly silo rapid loading system (RLS) for swift transportation of coal under the First Mile Connectivity (FMC) initiative of the Government of India set-up by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).
Along with highlighting the company’s performance and productivity successes from the previous fiscal year 2021–2022, the exhibit also highlighted the company’s socioeconomic and environmentally friendly activities in the state of Odisha.
Visitors to the expo were drawn in by a model of the FMC project, which enables the company to transport coal through environmentally friendly operations employing conveyor belts and its automatic loading in moving rail waggons for prompt distribution.
MCL will have nine or more FMC projects in the coalfields by 2023–2034, with a combined annual loading capacity of 131 million tonne.
MCL, Coal India’s most profitable and top-producing subsidiary, provides MSMEs with a wealth of options. The MSE sector accounted for more than 41.6% of MCL’s total purchases of products during the financial year 2021–22, which totaled Rs 185 crore, while the company spent more than Rs 135 crore on services. 1297 MSEs in total benefited from this.
For giving medium-sized, small, and micro firms access to economic prospects, the organisation was named the Best Mother Plant by OASME. (MSME).
The exhibition, which began on August 25, will end on August 28, 2022.
