To ensure a continuous power supply during the ongoing severe heatwave as predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), TP Central Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPCODL) has implemented various special measures. Moreover, the company has almost finished restoring the network after the recent Kalbaishakhi storms.
The dedicated workforce of TPCODL has been tirelessly working day and night to restore power in all affected areas. The restoration process is being closely monitored by the Central Power System Control Center (C-PSCC) and divisional-level monitoring teams.
TPCODL has successfully restored the majority of affected networks and is actively addressing specific complaints. During a meeting with Odisha’s Chief Secretary, Mr. Arvind Singh, the CEO of TPCODL, shared these updates.
To ensure reliable power supply and prompt restoration in the event of another Kalbaishakhi storm, TPCODL has deployed 7,700 ground staff equipped with necessary tools and equipment. They have also utilized Aska lights for restoration work during nighttime. Additionally, 1,000 staff members are prepared to be deployed in case of any emergencies.
In response to the current situation, all leaves for TPCODL technical staff have been cancelled, and the entire team is fully dedicated to serving customers.
TPCODL has taken further measures for restoration work, including coordination with the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and local administration for transporting materials in areas with river crossings using boats.
TPCODL remains steadfast in its commitment to providing high-quality electricity supply to its consumers.
