Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra, a former minister and BJD MLA from Junagarh, wed Priyanka Agasti on Sunday at a resort close to Pipili in the Puri district.
A low-key wedding ceremony for a high-profile couple was held in front of 30 to 40 close family members, friends, and loved ones.
Party leaders reportedly weren’t invited either, and media access to the wedding was also limited, according to sources.
It is important to note that both Mishra and Priyanka are getting married for the second time in this relationship. Mishra and his wife, who is from Jayapatana, divorced. Their son is currently a student in Dubai.
The daughter of Bhabani Agasti of Dekota village in the Golamunda block of the Kalahandi district is Priyanka, a software engineer. She had previously wed a Dharmagarh resident, but the marriage ended in a divorce less than two years later.
The pre-marriage rite known as the “Nirbandha” was carried out earlier, and the marriage was solemnised in the afternoon. According to additional sources, the couple will throw the reception at the resort in the evening.
