The quick recovery from last week’s hazardous air quality was attributed to high surface wind speed. SAFAR said the Particulate Matter (PM) 10 was recorded at 179 in ‘moderate’ category while PM 2.5 was recorded at 111 in ‘poor’ category.

Reports said in the upcoming days, the AQI is predicted to deteriorate to the higher end of very ‘poor’ category eventually deteriorating to ‘severe’ category.

The air pollution menace in Delhi was discussed in the parliament on Tuesday where the opposition slammed the government for failure to curb air pollution.
