Cyrus Mistry, a former chairman of Tata Sons, passed away on Sunday in a car accident in Palghar, Maharashtra. Mistry’s Mercedes crashed on a divider as he was driving from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. Mistry was 54 years old.
The renowned Mumbai gynaecologist Dr Anahita Pandole, her husband Darius Pandole, and Jehangir Pandole, according to the police, were also in the car together with Mistry.
They had spent the morning at the Iranshah Atash Behram in Udvada. The driver is thought to have been Dr. Pandole. The incident on the Surya river bridge claimed the life of Jehangir Pandole as well.
