As per reports, the 3 feet long crocodile was caught in the fishing net and villagers later released it into a pond. Subsequently, forest officials have rescued the reptile.
However, the incident has raised the panic button among the villagers. “We have never come across the presence of any crocodile in the river in recent past. The rescued crocodile is a sub-adult so we strongly suspect the presence of other crocodiles in the river,” said a villager.
