NEET UG Result 2022: Nayak would have preferred to be a journalist rather than a doctor, and like most youngsters, he enjoys reading newspapers to keep up with current events.

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG – 2022 results were released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) late on Wednesday. Priya Somadutta Nayak, a student at the city’s SAI International School, emerged as the State topper.

Priya, who received 705 out of 720 possible points, placed in the top 50 of the competitive entrance exam. He received an All India Rank of 39 in the exam with a 99.997 percentile.

Priya claimed he used to study for close to 10 hours a day and had been preparing for the NEET UG for the past two years. This year, he graduated with 96.8% from SAI International’s Class XII programme.

“Becoming a doctor was my boyhood dream, and I wish to pursue MBBS at AIIMS, New Delhi,” he stated.

Priya said he began attending coaching sessions for the admission test immediately following Class X. He thanked his parents, instructors, and coaches.

“I am satisfied with the rank I have obtained,” he remarked, “and I was expected to secure marks above 700.”

In addition to Priya, the top 10 boys who differently-abled include Chandan Dash and Pritam Gochhayat from Odisha.

Gochhayat scored 99.676 percentile on the entrance exam, while Dash scored 99.234 percentile.

This year, around 45,000 applicants enrolled for the exam in Odisha; of those, 43,080 showed up for the exam and 26,279 passed.

With 715 points, Tanishka from Rajasthan topped the exam results for all of India, followed by Vatsa Ashish Batra from Delhi and Hrishikesh Nagbhushan Gangule from Karnataka.

The entrance exam for applicants hoping to work in the medical sciences is called NEET UG.
