Bhubaneswar: A day after the ruling-BJD kicked off its ‘Jana Sampark Padyatra’ from Bhubaneswar, Pradesh Congress Committee In-charge Jitendra Singh today announced that Congress will launch a ‘Jana Sampark Abhiyan’ in as many as 314 blocks across Odisha from tomorrow.
The Jana Sampark Abhiyan claims to build a ‘Sampark Setu’ (Relationship Bridge) between people of Odisha and the Congress.
During a meeting held at the Congress Bhawan today, Singh informed that the Abhiyan bus will head towards Balasore from the State Congress Bhawan tomorrow at 10.30 AM, from where it will traditionally kick off its campaign towards 314 blocks across Odisha in different phases before the upcoming elections.
As per sources, OPCC Chief Niranjan Patnaik along with the Working Presidents and Pradesh Election Committee Workers and former PCC Chief would travel in the bus to woo and gain the confidence of the voters.
This apart, Pradesh Congress Vice-Presidents and General Secretaries have been given charge of their respective districts.
On the other hand, Singh also informed that each candidate would at least enrol 10,000 members in Project Shakti App and that will be taken into account for their candidature.
“PCC chief has decided to launch the campaign across Odisha through the bus. The Abhiyan will alert the people on the misguiding of BJD and BJP and propagate the agenda of the Congress of bringing smiles in the faces of the people,” said Pradeep Majhi, PCC Working President.
