Colorful start to PARAB-2018 at Kotia….

Oct.30.10:Kotia being a territory of dispute between Andhra and Odisha, today Koraput tribal fest PARAB took a colourful start from Kotia’s Sunapahad foothill. Kotia Jagannath temple and a local Church was taken as venue of beginning of PARAB-2018.
In the inauguration program of PARAB, hundreds of tribals with traditional colorful outfit, tuning traditional folk music commenced from Lord Jagannath temple at Sunapahad at Kotia under Pottangi block of Koraput district.
As per the District Admin plan the PARAB festival cum competition will go on in Panchayat level till 14th day of November.  The mega celebration will be in DAV college stadium in Headquarter from 16th Nov. A Rahagiri program will be organised at Jeypore on November 11th in the name of Saheed Laxman Nayak Pathotsav.
As per earlier the Pallishree mela will be organised at PARAB Ground from 16th November exhibiting variety of handicrafts and handlooms.
In the said program today, Ramesh Ch. Majhi, minister of commerce and transport, Chandra Sarathi Behera, sports and youth affairs minister, Koraput MP Jina Hikaka, Pottangi MLA Prafulla Pangi, Koraput MLA Krushna Sagaria, Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati and Koraput District Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy joined the rituals of PARAB fest inauguration by lightning the torch. In the said program all other district level officials and public representatives were present.
