The State Government is undertaking numerous initiatives, according to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, to create a thriving higher education eco-system in the state. During a non-teaching staff induction event for various government colleges in the state, he made this statement.
There are currently 334 new recruits working in the state government colleges, of which 291 are lab assistants, 25 are junior librarians, and 18 are physical education teachers. Today, an orientation programme was held at the Loka Seva Bhawan State Convention Center.
The Chief Minister joined the event via a virtual platform and stated that more than a thousand Professors, Associates Professors, Assistant Professors, and Junior Lecturers have recently been hired at various Government and Non-Government Colleges. Due to this, the ratio of students to teachers has improved.
He welcomed the new hires and announced that junior librarians and laboratory assistants had been hired to increase the focus on high-quality education. In order to create a dynamic environment for learning in universities, their participation in laboratories and libraries is crucial, he continued.
He hoped that the pupils’ earnestness and dedication would foster a love of science.
He emphasised that the government has always supported sports to the fullest degree by focusing on sports. In fact, he said, Odisha is today a shining star on the global sports map.
He claimed that the State is building additional playgrounds at the school level and stadiums at the neighbourhood level to nurture athletes from an early age.
He continued that hiring physical education teachers will undoubtedly have a beneficial impact on raising student interest in sports and contributing to the development of more national and international athletes in our State.
He believed that the PETs would make a significant contribution to ensuring the students in my state have a bright future.
He hoped the new college students would set an example for others by adhering to the 5T Mantra of my Government, saying that 5T is a life skill that may help each of us thrive in life.
The Chief Minister was congratulated for placing a priority on high-quality education by Higher Education Minister Shri Rohit Pujari. Odisha is currently a centre for sports and education. He anticipated that the new hires will work diligently to enhance the college education system.
According to Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, the state is conducting a continual hiring process for educational institutions at the instruction of the Chief Minister. He stated that the hiring process has become extremely quick thanks to the 5T Initiative.
Pushpabati Pati, Krushna Chandra Sahu, and Bobita Tudu, three recent hires, spoke about their experiences and claimed that the 5T initiative has made the hiring process quick, easy, and efficient. Technology-based decision locking has made it possible to emerge successfully and transparently.
VK Pandian, the chief minister’s secretary, served as the program’s moderator.
