Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated 35 Model Police stations in the state through video conferencing from the secretariat here.
Patnaik also interacted with people present in seven Model police stations such as Similiguda of Koraput district, Bada Bazar P.S. of Berhampur, Nalco P.S. of Angul, Puri Town P.S. of Puri, Sahadevkhunta P.S. of Balasore, Khetarajpur P.S. of Sambalpur and Plant site P.S. of Roukela Districts.
On the occasion, the CM also flagged off 12 PCR mobiles meant for increased police mobility and patrolling in Bhubaneswar for the ensuing World Cup Hockey and prompt and better response to the people in need. Besides, the CM also flagged off 35 new Boleros and 70 new motorcycles meant for 35 Model Police Stations.
On this special occasion in Malkangiri town Police station SP Jagamohan Meena arranged a program. In the said program Malkangiri MLA Manas Madkami, District Chair-person Dasrath Padiami, PPD DRDA Lingraj Panda, SDPO Dr.Vivek Sraban, DFO Mirase, IIC S Tripathy, and other police officials were present.
Similarly, in Semiliguda Police station Dr.Kanwar Vishal Singh, arranged a program. In the said program Addl SP V R Rao, SDPO Niranjan Behera, Semiliguda IIC, Sunabeda IIC, Damanjodi IIC, Social worker Krushna Singh, MLA Pottangi Prafulla Pangi and other Officials were present.
All these Model Police Stations will act as a role-model for other police stations in the district but also be people friendly in a welfare state. They should be sensitive and treat people with empathy particularly the vulnerable and weaker sections of the society.
